Hygiene

A healthy mouth is the key to a healthy body.

WHAT IS A DENTAL HYGIENIST?

A dental hygienist is an oral health professional who is a specifically trained member of the dental team who works together with our dentists to provide fully integrated dental care. Our hygienists provide individualized oral hygiene care and treatment to prevent dental diseases of the teeth and gums and help improve general health and wellbeing.

WHAT IS AN ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST?

Oral Health Therapists possess qualifications in dental hygiene AND dental therapy. They provide high quality oral health care for children, adolescents and young adults including examinations, digital radiographs, treatment and prevention.

At St Agnes Dental our philosophy is to help you achieve your goals comfortably and affordably, and one of the many ways we do this is through our beliefs in preventative dentistry. Through careful attention to dental hygiene and a regular program of active maintenance visits, our aim is to prevent problems from occurring in the first place – relieving you of the need for potentially costly treatment in the future.
